Her story is remarkable. Virginie is known internationally as one of the greatest opposites of her time.

As a professional elite volleyball player Virginie has played at the highest levels in Europe. She has worked with different nationalities and her responsibilities were very high in the clubs she played for. Virginie had the privilege to work with the best coaches in Europe and the world. Still today she is sharing friendship and mentorship through them.

In 2015 she was Director of the CEV European Championships in Belgium and The Netherlands
– Virginie participated in National Team of Belgium since 1994. She played European Championships 2009 in Poland with the National Team. Nominated in top 5 Top Scorer of the EuroVolley The last year as a player for the team, Virginie got assigned to help the young players to grow as professionals. Virginie is nowadays also sharing her knowledge as an inactive elite player through programs internationally.

2013-2016: Salo Viesti Volleyball Club Finland
Virginie was elected as youth coordinator and coach for all ages 7 till 20. Through this she gained experiences with the national team of Finland with the youth teams. Virginie was assistant coach for the European Championships Qualifications Youth.

2016-2017: Head coach Lp Kangasala first league Finland
Virginie was the first coach in Finland the import a new training schedule that is now adapted within all the high level clubs in Finland. With her staff Virginie changed the typical Finnish training schedule of 1 training per day to 2 trainings per day. Virginie implemented the importance of a professional staff within the team.

2017-2021: Virginie founded VDC Volleyball Academy where she coached and trained volleyball players and coaches towards highly motivated goals.
VDC Volleyball Academy organised high quality camps and professional opportunities in Europe.

2017-2021 Virginie collaborated with Finnish Olympic Committee as the head coach of Southern Finland for promising volleyball players.
The program´s goal is too bring young athletes on a professional pathway through developing the mindset, school management, technical and tactical attention in training weeks.

2023: Virginie studied under the program of FC Barcelona, Sport Psychology for Elite Athletes

VDC PERFORMANCE creates exclusive programs for volleyball players and teams. Virginie De Carne coaches the programs not only technically but also knows how to create a right mindset for the player.
